8th person at Trump Tower meeting identified - CNNPolitics.com The meeting sure looks far less casual than Jr. tries to portray. I love it how the lawyer assures that the guy "never had any engagement with the Russian government in any capacity". Yeah, Sr. VP for major Moscow real estate developer (and former Communist Party of the USSR functionary no less) has nothing to do with the government, nosir! In today's Russia, "Russian billionaire" and "top Putin crony" are full synonyms, so Aras is both, and a VP of his company works for one.
"The Associated Press quoted Akhmetshin saying that Veselnitskaya brought with her to the meeting a plastic folder with printed-out documents that detailed what she believed was a flow of illicit funds to the Democratic National Committee." Former Soviet Counterintelligence Officer at Meeting With Donald Trump Jr. and Russian Lawyer - NBC News
Well I have read the article, maybe too quickly, and I didn't see anything stated that Trump didn't walk away with the papers. Can you show me? It says she gave him the papers but it doesn't say he refused them or gave them back.
Donald Trump Jr., she said, asked if she had any further supporting documents. “He clearly asked me if I had any financial records to back and support the idea that some funds from illegal sources went to DNC, went to Hilary Clinton," she told NBC News. “In reply to that, I told him that not only I don't have any financial records of that time — there was no chance that I could somehow, anyhow, have such records.” She added that Trump Jr. ended the meeting by saying, “Well, the story that you've told us, it sounds very interesting but unfortunately at the moment, there is nothing that we, we can help you with about it. But maybe if we come to power, maybe one day, we will get back to you on that, because it really sounds interesting.”
Yeah, I saw that part. Of course it doesn't say that he refused or returned the documents. It just says he was disappointed that there wasn't more info available. Have I got that right?
Well, the meeting was cut short and the info not used so I think you've not gotten it right. If what the Russian lawyer said is correct, that is.
So, in order to prove your point, you cite a source that doesn't prove your point. And the source you're going to rely on is the lawyer from the Russian government (as if she doesn't have a motive to lie). And then you say that I'm the one that hasn't gotten it right?
The article indicates Donald Jrs guilt, not his innocence. Any other reading is pretzel logic. But fortunately it's neither my interpretation nor yours that counts. Mueller and his team will look into it and if there's a problem then I'm sure they'll find it. If there's no problem then they'll surely move on to other matters.
Guilty of what? That Russian lawyer and her associates have made the political rounds of D.C. If association with them is guilt of something-or-other then there must be a whole lotta guilt going around.
Either you're really not paying attention (suggesting that you really don't care as much as you present) or you're simply trolling. I'm leaning toward the latter because it's a simple matter, if you were to become suddenly interested, to google it. In any case, I've been known to occasionally feed trolls. Here you go Did Trump Jr. Break Laws When He Met Russian Lawyer Veselnitskaya? - NBC News
"...might have reason to examine..." "...may have violated a federal statute..." And lefties like Dershowitz say no crime was committed. Who is not paying attention?
Expected choice of words, seeing how Jr. is not convicted of anything at this moment. What do you expect? Is it yet another display of Crimestop? Why was Russian money-laundering case settled? House Dems want answers - Business Insider
