I fully understood the context, I think my reply shows that. We can't assume that everyone--including the thousands of visitors that don't post--has knowledge of what we're talking about, so it's helpful to point important information out in a reply.

I didn't know this was an "argument" at all, I thought this was a discussion. If it feels like an argument to you, it might be best to take a deep breath and pull away for a bit.

I really apologize because I didn't mean arguing in the sense of fighting or having a heated discussion but in trying to convince one another between propios and official degrees. This might be an example of why trying to communicate in another could be difficult to express your ideas even if you "think" you know enough of the language. Sorry about that!

I think about paying 100 euro for a separate CLEA degree certificate. That should be enough to pass a NARIC evaluation I think. Plus it's "only" 100 euro.

I don't believe in convincing people of things, especially in this era of society where most people allow feelings and misinformation overtake their better judgement in pretty much every aspect of life. I just speak facts and leave it up to the individual to accept them or not. The great thing about facts is that they remain facts whether people accept them or not.

Do you think everyone but you exists in a vacuum of opinions with no factual basis for their statements? This condescending pat-on-your-own-back does nothing to advance the conversation.

    Thank you.
Glad I didn't have to say it.

Looking at it purely from a value point of view, if it gets recognized then its really something. I am keen to find out more if you were to proceed. Especially on how the CLEA degree certificate looks like.

I'm going to bite the bullet and just do it! Better to show people a degree cert from 1 uni than with 3 uni's plastered over it. Plus it would amount to 325 euro total (225 for the course + 100 for the CLEA cert ) which is still very cheap for a 60 ECTS degree in law studies.

Do you think before you post? Because you didn't advance the conversation with that, you just made an ass of yourself.

You took that completely the wrong way, and emotionally with that bs outburst, which is really weird and a little comical because that's not even what I meant. At all. But the fact it was taken that way is telling. I guess I could try to speak in complete non-facts if that would prevent me from hurting your feelings and making a personal attack? Smh. What a ridiculous response.

After this post, I'm out on this thread. You kids can keep crying amongst yourselves like petulant children because I won't just agree and hit the like button on inaccuracies and nonsense like some of you do as a practice it seems to make each other feel better. After all, who cares about accurate information being dispensed on an education board anyway where it would make sense for it to matter? How DARE I? (just stole a little of the unnecessary bolding an underlining from Johann, lol).

    Smh. Kids. God love'em.

You were the only person I have seen reacting all emotional here.

Manuel apologized to you, made it clear that he didn't want a scene to be made and you were the one who still continued to go on a rant.
Then Dustin kindly put you in your place.

Now you react all melodramatic and accuse others of being melodramatic.

    Take a few chill pills.

Let us know how it goes? Pretty please :D

If the CLEA degree is actually from CLEA and not a Grupo Tarraco certificate with a CLEA stamp, I may bite on one or two of these once I have some spare time. I kind of want to get the Masters in Firearms just to really sell the fact that I'm an American and like guns. Okay...kidding about that, but there are some programs I am interested in, lol.

I'm thinking about studying their gynecology program (Master en Salud de mujeres) and I'm thinking about taking their Master en psycologia.
These propios feel like a trip to a candy store
You want more and more and more.
    I'm addicted to tituli propii.
I will pay for the CLEA degree certificate and have Naric evaluate it :)

But he didn't "rant" in response to Manuel's post. He just made a personal statement on how he chooses to post information, it wasn't directed at anyone in particular otherwise he would've said so because he's not the type to pull punches when he wants to throw them.

My issue here is that some things are being attributed to Max's post that he didn't do. I didn't take anything he said for what it's being portrayed as in the least bit. Perhaps some of you have some hostility toward him from past conversations and that's where this blowup is stemming from, but I'm sorry, the responses are not in line with what he posted here, and if anything he put you all back in your places in response to it. You guys are out of line on this. All he did was disagree and he wasn't disrespectful at any point while disagreeing with the points he responded to. He disagreed with me here too as he has many times in the past (lol), I didn't go nuts over it, it's a discussion. It's not personal.

Guys, can we chill with the personal attacks and just stick to the topic? Everyone is just here to help. No reason for it to turn into a post war for goodness' sake.

I know the feeling. I don't buy a lot of stuff, so I still have my entire leisure budget set aside for the like the last three years and I love the idea of accumulating a bunch of degree certificates just for fun.

If I knew enough Spanish, I'd probably look at one of the $2k propio programs through Nebrija in Economics or Public Policy, but as it stands now I couldn't write the papers in a way I'd be satisfied with or would probably be acceptable to the people marking my work

Would you feel comfortable using a translation service for that? I hate to keep mentioning this every time this comes up without being able to link the blog, but I remember some years back (about 2011 I think) where a guy wrote about using one to do a program in Portuguese. It seemed to have worked out well for him based on what he wrote. However, like Manuel mentioned, live interaction requirements (if there are any) would make that plan ineffective.

Heck, yes. Same here. A Master in making cheese is cool. OK, I might not put it on my business card, but still...

Use domingo to learn some Spanish and then use a translator as a side-aid.
That's how I wrote my trabajo fin de Master (capstone) for the master from Doctrina Quálitas.
I graduated sobre saliente (with excellence).
I am a native French speaker through my father (Québécois) though, so take that as you will.
I think it's easier if you already master French, to speak and write Spanish.

Many of these seem to involve at least the possibility of a viva voce review by the learning center you're working with, they won't confirm one way or the other though.
I'm definitely open to translation services if I can find the setup I'm looking for.

I've been looking for a good French Master's (or certificate) so that I can have a strong motivation to improve my French from the A2 it is right now to B1/B2 (low/high intermediate). If I were looking to learn Spanish, planning on doing a propio would be an excellent motivation to do so.

Why not max this out? Do a Spanish propio course like French B2, there are a lot of these out there! :)
