I also want to reiterate my suggestion that perhaps the high levels of violence are incorrectly attributed to the religion instead of (what I would suggest is) the real culprit: A crappy living situation. Nothing sparks crime like poverty, I believe the principal applies broadly.

I don't understand why we cannot acknowledge that the old testament in particular has some highly disturbing material, we can discuss why it's different, but it must be addressed because it's brutal stuff, Biblical genocide in particular parallels nicely with this discussion.

Anyway, I suppose I should acknowledge that there is nothing wrong with observing what is wrong with a religion, that's intellectually right; however, I do think that most people are not defined by their religion and even if we were to somehow determine that Islam is bad we could not therefore determine the people are bad.

Apology? You are expressing bigotted thoughts and showing religious intolerance. I most definitely do not apologize for pointing out that fact. My suggestion is that you remain anonymous because should these kind of things become associated with your real identity, I'm afraid that it could cause you some difficulties.

    I've Seen Enough

I can't foresee this discussion going anywhere but downhill from here, so I'm calling it a wrap.
