In this case, a woman appears in Britain and claims an MD from the University of Auckland in NZ. Except that she dropped out after her first year of medical school and never graduated. So she presents a fake diploma to the British Medical Council who never bother to verify it with the U. of Auckland, and the woman is licensed as a psychiatrist in the UK. She is hired by the National Health Service, who never verify the degree either. And the woman goes on to work more than twenty years as a government psychiatrist in Britain, signing involuntary commitment orders and everything. The only reason she was found out was that she forged a will claiming that a wealthy patient had left the her the patient's fortune. So lawyers got involved and they finally checked her credentials.
