Well, I've completed my dissertation (Pretoria) and I'm just waiting for the submission period in April 2009.

Come hell or high water, I’m going to finish in time to walk in the June 2009 ceremony, fly my ass to AZ, and order 10,000 copies of the diploma to wear as work cloths, swimming trunks, bed sheets, napkins, Christmas cards..

In an odd way, this board has helped. Not that I agree with most of what anyone says here ( ;-) ) , but somehow its existence serves as a means to re-motivate myself.

Good luck to all the 1/2 DR’s

What about a DegreeInfo Hall of Fame?

Here's how they do it at Phinished.com:

    Hall of Phame: http://www.phinished.org/phame.php

Quite a few grads, I'd say. Inspiring, too.

Its only fair to add the source of the Doctorate / Ph.D.
As we know anyone can be Dr. this days.

So a list is fine but an issuing university has to be next to it otherwise this can be like any not so wonderful entities list of Ph.D's.

I'd be willing to bet my pay check against yours that anyone on this list would gladly name the university from which they earned their doctoral degree. If you're curious, just ask them.

Hey Learner! When will your name appear on this list?

    Add John R. Wetsch, Ph.D.
B.S. '01 University of North Dakota
    B.S. '84 Excelsior College (USNY/Regents)
M.A. '89 Antioch University, The McGregor School
Master of Astronomy, '02, University of Western Sydney
    Ph.D. '94 Nova Southeastern University

I have not seen john post for a few years. I recall that he was pursuing a Doctor of Astronomy at James Cook University - I wonder if he made it.

Other candidates are LadyExecutive and Dr. Gino (both are in doctorate programs)

Along the lines of blasts from the past, there's also the all-time heavyweight champ; Dennis Huber, D.B.A. and about a dozen other graduate degrees.

Roscoe, Congratulations on finishing the dissertation on F. F. Bosworth. I hope I'll have an opportunity to read it.

    Good question.
    I don't think it will.
My wife had liver transplant and we almost lost her.
I have many more pressing issues in life to deal with.

Maybe some day when I will have energy and funds for the Doctoral program.
The medical insurance covered a lot but after all the treatments etc we still own the hospital and the doctors something like 1 million USD.
BTW will the universities accept my 26 year old credits for entry in t Doctoral program?
