degree abbreviations

    The University of Pécs is in Hungary (not Germany). They apparently do offer some doctoral programs in English, don't know if they are DL.

    Yes, Ted. I stand corrected. Just before I read the cited post, I looked it up. Here's a quote from a Union site, where A. Div. is used:

    "The Associate of Divinity (A. Div.) is designed primarily as an adult education degree for the non-traditional student."

    It's here: http://www.uu.edu/centers/olford/academics/adiv/ So, I was wrong yet again. No surprise.... :smile:

    Georgetown's program is a Doctor of Liberal Studies, not a Doctor of Liberal Arts. They do not offer it online and have said that won't change.

    Doctor of Liberal Arts or Doctor of Liberal Studies, either would be okay if it were offered online and in English.
