Hi out there--- and Happy NEW YEAR from Las Vegas. I have a great story to relate that is apropos to our forum and is sure to bring a smile to all of you that havent heard this....Plano Texas It seems That the name Colby Nolan was used to file for a degree from Trinity Southern University. A B.A. degree was awarded to Colby for $299.00,who submitted a work experience of Babysitting and Retail Management. Colby also qualified for an MBA if he wanted to pay an additional $100. Colby received a 3.5 average and a transcript for classes he completed. Only in america can a cat get a degree.... Traderneil LV NV>
In the land of opportunity it is nice to see even non-humans can advance their position in society. Imagine the purrs around the milk saucer the next morning. ;-)
Dogs should have DBAs too I think it is great that in the US a cat can get a degree and an MBA. I just wonder whether you can also obtain a PhD in Feline Psychology? I would like to know if my silky terrier can get a DBA too since degrees are going down the food chain. Knowing certain institutions in the quest for the $$$$$$$$$$$ sign it should not be too much to ask and that the supervisor be a great Dane. The qualifications that my terrier has is that it can do a wheelbarrow trick with your leg, associate car keys with going for a walk and is relatively an independent learner. So any distance learning institution willing to be the first to give this canine a DBA would be NOBEL and nascent in getting research material - that being Pedigree Chum! With my experience with one university down under, the supervisors will probably come in the form a Chi Hua Hua, a Datschun, a Maltese, a Pekinese, a Pug and finally a Shitsu, some with legitimate PhDs and others with fake ones. Wonderful supervision don't you think???? My Silky will look good with a mortar board and a graduation gown with sleeves for four paws. It sure will be a dog's day. By the way her name is Jilly, Dr Woof Woof Jilly!!!
You know, if I were going to give my cat a fake degree, I'd just print one up myself. I'd save the $300, because, after all, I don't think the cat would know the difference. -Matt
Ah yes -- the grad school of well-known Epson University. I've known a few alumni... not all of them feline. There are also the good folks at Canon College and my favourite, the prestigious Lexmark Institute. Johann
I hope that Colby used her degree to her advantage. There's some real liklihood that she's eligible for retirement now/soon and so that MBA hopefully prepared her to put some friskies aside.:newangel:
