Considering I'm not American, I guess I did alright. Of course, about 60% of my responses were educated guesses, but still.

    22/33= 66.67%

Not bad. Of course, now I want to learn more, specially about free enterprise, pre-20th century American history, and the role of the government in our lives. A really interesting find, Ian. Thanks.

Not bad for a Canadian but still disturbingly low.

I scored a 78.8%... now I know how my students feel. I rushed through it, and when I went back and re-read it after I got the grade, I saw I misread half of the questions... haha

When I taught government my first year of teaching, we had to do a unit on citizenship. I gave them all a practice citizenship test, and the vast majority of my students failed. However, the four foreign exchange students I had (3 Germans and a Chinese kid) passed with flying colors. How embarrassing is it that a foreigner knows your country better than you do.

I went on to explain how my roommate in college had to pass the test to become a citizen. She was from Indonesia and earned a degree in Political Science. The test was cake for her. It just amazes me how we take for granted our citizenship in the US.
