A corrupt public official is always bad but corrupt Judges are especially horrifying; if you can't trust the Courts, where can you go for redress?
Something tells me he might be on the receiving end of sexual favors he doesn't want while serving time.
Unless the higher court is also possibly corrupt. See for example West Virginia. Perception is as important as reality.
