Yo, virtual savant. You demanded that I present evidence of papers and books that I wrote relating to distance education, but when asked that you do the same, as well as revealing your actual name, you attempt to deflect my request with your typical pompous and unconfirmed bull crap.

If you don't comply with this request and think that your arrogant and hostile belittling comments will win over other posters, think again! Your credibility, which is already highly questionable, will be kaput if you don't come forth with your alleged accomplishments.

 

Ugh, this is wrong on multiple levels! Jan, this is a community. You did not earn the right to make demands; further, no one cares about anyone's credibility in your eyes.

Furthermore, your point is moot because you also tried to pick a fight with Steve Levicoff, and his credentials in this little field are but a quick Google search away. OK?

This deserves a case study in some textbook on how NOT to make friends. Jan expresses skepticism regarding an obscure degree provider; this is eminently defensible position, hardly unpopular on this board. Yet he somehow manages to piss people off. Heck, people had more cordial exchanges with actual degree mill apologists (and operators) than this. Recently mentioned old timers like Neil Hayes and Dr. Marianus actually earned a measure of respect - and these are, arguably, BAD GUYS (both have degree mill degrees, Prof Kersey started a few umschools)! Jan, you're doing Internet wrong.

Your language toward FTF is more inflammatory than anything I have written on this forum about anyone. We have known FTF for a long time (several years). His credibility is well established, and your credibility is non-existent.

As evident by the preceding posts, FTFACULTY insisted, in the most flagrantly hostile and belittling way, my revealing my credentials, research papers and books regarding distance learning that puts me on par with Levicoff the great. Fyi, it's called quid pro quo, which in this case means that either FTFACULTY possesses the expertise that he challenged me to demonstrate or he should go in the corner and attempt to gain self esteem through other means such as virtual reality games, where he can play the imaginary role of General Patton with all the virtual glory he can muster.

The same holds true for your bud Levicoff, who constantly puts down others with vile, hostile and devaluing rhetoric from the onset, alleging that he is the town expert on everything related to distance education and challenging my knowledge base of the subject.

So get off of the bandwagon and place the blame and responsibility for inapprpriate behavior and ettiquette where it belongs, on your two masters for derailing this thread with their vitriolic rhetoric.

Btw, don't think that you are gaining credibility points or making friends by being the spokesperson for your two inappropriate pals because by distorting and misrepresenting the facts as to who is demanding, as well as denigrating, your credibility quotient is getting lower by the nano second.Just an observation.

 

Levicoff it is truly unfortunate, and I mean this sincerely, that due to your failure for whatever reason, to attain the goals you set out for yourself, resulting in your driving a truck, rather than engaged in academia or some other appropriate intellectual endeavor, that you need to project your personal disappointment onto others with such animus contempt and disdain.

I don't need to strike back at you with similar animosity because it is evident why you are engaging in such unacceptable behavior and that you don't need me or any other posters to assist you in sinking deeper into the quagmire of your own making.

After doing so, I am confident that your credibility quotient level will be way below zero as well as your level of veracity.

Let me know when you are ready to engage in this exploration for the truth and I am certain you will embarrass yourself, and in the eyes of others who are not sycophants of your two buds.

 

Not passive aggression at all. merely an observation of a person with high academic attainment who constantly and consistently wastes his time engaging in the most petty, and actually self destructive and infantile conduct, by devaluing and denigrating posters (Levicoff has a history of doing this to hundreds of posters, not only poor newbie Jan) with whom he disagrees or perceives as a threat to his self perceived position as the exulted ruler emeritus of distance education on this forum. OK, here's the fact for you. Username Jan was registered less than two months ago. Levicoff posts relatively rarely these days. Therefore, for you to make statements on what he did to "hundreds" of posters requires either truly unhealthy level of obsession with his old posts, overactive imagination, or being an old poster under new username (which I believe violates the TOS). In any case, this unusual behaviour is part of what turns people off you.

I'll make an attempt to be constructive. Tell me what "truth" are you trying to establish regarding the entity under discussion, and I'll try to reply in kind.

As I stated, Levicoff has been posting here as well as on OTHER distance learning forum websites for MANY YEARS, attacking HUNDREDS of posters with all sorts of vulgar, denigrating and devaluing comments that YOU may feel is appropriate (which obviously does not reflect well on you), but may others don't, especially the recipients of his vitriol.

However, let's return to your original fabricated statement that I started this nonsensical dialogue with Levicoff and FTFaculty, which you are futilely attempting to deflect. For the third time, either you will agree to review the actual posts by FTFaculty and Levicoff that ignited this "war of words" or back off from continuing wasting my time with your lack of veracity.

In fact, I will do you one better. I'm willing to speak with you by phone and review the posts in question. If I'm wrong I will apologize profusely to everyone on this thread. However, IF YOU are not telling the truth, which you are not, then you will have to do more than apologize to save face and your credibility. At first I thought this back-and-forth was amusing and might even lead somewhere productive. I was even willing to live with a little snarkiness since no one seemed to be complaining much. But the whole thing has taken a left turn and so I'm going to shut down the show before it gets worse (that's the trajectory). I hope that what's left of the weekend goes well for everyone.
