As the 2024 presidential race approaches. former governor, Nikki Haley banking on South Carolina being an early GOP primary state.
Maybe angling for the VP slot?
She's close on making a decision to run for president in 2024.

    The GOP could do worse.

    And probably will.

She'll be one of two dozen or so contending for the nomination.

As for the South Carolina strategy, Kamala Harris took that approach regarding California. She didn't win it, nor the nomination.

My guess is the nominee will be someone no one is talking about yet.

Still waiting for a different candidate in particular to enter the race so we can enjoy a bunch of "death by Sununu!" jokes.

    I'm setting the over-and-under at 20.

  9. I have always liked Haley. Wish she hadn't decided to abandon her anti-Trump stand.

We can start betting on a nickname/nicknames The Former Guy will give her now that they're both in the same primary. He'll probably start referring to her as "Nimrata" every chance he gets, and more recist toadies like that #ucker, Carlson will follow suit.

That'd mark him as a total "Nimrod." She can refer to him as that! :( Can't deny, it's accurate!

Yah. That is such an obvious dog whistle that I don't think he and his trained bigots would be able to resist.
Nikki Haley is a daughter of immigrants and very capable, albeit too opportunistic. I would cheer on her historic candidacy, but alas she's on the Dark Side.

The thing to remember at this very early point is that Trump shares his Base with no one. No matter who runs, Trump is guaranteed about 35% of the GOP electorate. In order for him NOT to win, more than half of the remaining 65% must coalesce around another candidate and this isn't likely to happen in 2024.
