An article that I co-authored with one of my professors has been accepted with... get this... FIVE revisions! If we return it to the editor by the end of Feb and it passes the final review, it'll be published in April. If not, it'll be published in September. Sorry for my posting about this... it's just exciting. This will be my first journal publication ever.

Congratulations! Having just five revisions to do (providing they are minor) means that do have done a nice job on your fist paper. I just finished reviewing a manuscript for the Quarterly Review of Distance Education (a refereed scholarly journal) that will require many more than five revisions.

They're manageable. "Add citations where noted by reviewers", "shorten length of sentences where noted", "expand on ______", "please add information regarding _____ in your conclusion."

We're excited too, this is quite an accomplishment. Will your nom de plume be used as well?

Haha... well, if you look up anything written with the name "Hadashi no Gen" attached to it you'll find something completely different!

Extremely cool, congratulations! It's a great feeling isn't it?
Maybe you'll inspire me to sit down and write that conference article...

Revisions were sent in a month ago, and we just signed the copyright today! Looks like all is well for an April release :) I am working on another article that I hope to submit later this year as the first author.

About those dancing bananas: hit the colon key. Then write the word banana. Then hit the colon key again. Multiply that times the number of dancing bananas you want. Like this: :banana::banana::banana:

Absolutely. I am not sure of the exact citation since it's not out yet, but it should be out this month. If so the citation should look something like this...

Crowe, A.L. & Parmenter, A.S. (2012). Creative approaches to motivational interviewing: Addressing the principles. Journal of Creativity in Mental Health, 7(2), page - page.

Thanks Abner!! Also, if any counselors/socialworkers/psychologists/psychotherapists are interested in ACT and doing some scholarly writing, please contact me.
