Until some one can be Mo Farah, it is his. There are so many young guns in the 5000, goodness...but if anyone can do it..Lagat can..and not to restate this, he is a class act. The Women's 1500 was great. Brenda Martinez gets the third spot by a nose...Simpson is looking really good, so is Centrowitz.....

The room pictured in the article doesn't look bad. I've certainly had worse accommodations in the Army, but the stories of (hopefully just) water running down the walls when the toilets flush.....ewwwwww. uke:
So am I. Over the last six weeks two Olympic, non-USA, track cycling teams were training in my area and I was fortunate to meet and assist them.

The whole show starts up in a couple of days. Soccer will be running throughout and the women's team is expected to dominate. I flew out to Kansas City last weekend to watch the US team play Costa Rica and the team looked very sharp. Watch out for Crystal Dunn. She very fast and has some great footwork. https://www.theguardian.com/sport/2016/jul/30/rio-olympic-games-2016-mo-farah-jessica-ennis-hill-nicola-adams-usain-bolt-team-gb

Olympic soccer has so many matches that it has to start before the opening ceremonies in order to fit them all in. That means that the first matches begin tomorrow and the USA women's team will play New Zealand tomorrow night.
OK, I know that probably no one cares but me but I'm not going to be able to stop myself from posting about this until it's all over. The US women beat New Zealand 2 - 0. It was interesting because NZ came out very aggressive and got a yellow card early after just too many hard tackles, etc. Once they calmed down the US just picked them apart. Lloyd and Morgan scored the goals. The next game is against France on Saturday.:usa2:
