The two "Kings" had a rival in Romania: Iulian Radulescu, who proclaimed himself "Emperor of All the Roma - everywhere."
    Get more Emperor Iulian here:

There are fabulous musicians among the Roma. Many kinds of music. I've been a "Gypsy Jazz" fan for close to 50 years. I consider Django Reinhardt the genre's "Patron Saint."

And now, back to our regular programming: Open Universities etc. :)

Did you know that the word "trisyllabic" has four syllabes?

Staying on topic? I have enjoyed this group for years. I enjoy the diversity of topics, opinions, and views. I enjoy learning about all things related to degrees, etc. Seems like the last couple of years there have been fewer voices and less sharing on topics. Often threads take off in less significant directions, etc. Am I alone in thinking this? (PS. I still check the forum almost daily!)

Or that "WWW" is three times longer than the words it abbreviates? ("World Wide Web")

Or - that saying those words three times is a poetic meter - anapestic trimeter? (da-da-DUM, da-da-DUM, da-da DUM)
Same as the opening of the Lone Ranger Theme / William tell Overture? :)

...And here, I always thought Anapest was something you bought from the Orkin man.

...and saying WWW once is another meter -dactylic trimeter. (Dum-da-da, Dum-da-da, Dum-da-da)

Saying it twice is yet another - dactylic hexameter. Lots of that in Latin Literature, e.g. Virgil's Aeneid. I can still recite a few lines of the original, nearly 65 years after learning them. How that work lasts! Virgil wrote it between 30 and 19 BCE. Good poets then - good ones now. Great to enjoy both. :)
