If I do teach, I would teach based on my strong industrial/technical experiences. An PhD is just a ticket for networking. As I mentioned before, all online schools face the same dilemma as you said. If you want assurance, go with a traditional brick-and-mortar university. I did try to apply to my local State University, but with their fixed schedules, workloads, and requirements; there's no way I can handle it. So what is your story? Which university and what program are you in?
