University of La Verne (in Southern California) to offer DBA program. University of La Verne Cleared to Offer New Online, Doctorate Business Programs in Fall – Press Release Rocket
As well, I could not find specific information on the La Verne website re the upcoming DBA program: La Verne however, does currently offer a Doctor of Public Administration. Here’s an abstract re the DPA program format /structure: The DPA Program accommodates the professional adult with a Saturday schedule. All students attend two classes per term on Saturdays. Classes are about four hours each and some class sessions may be offered online or have applied projects (hybrid or blended format). http://laverne.edu/catalog/program/dpa-doctor-of-public-administration/ Merely speculation on my part, but … I’d consider that the DBA will be structured in a similar format.
Guess they are finally offering their DBA online: https://laverne.edu/news/2022/02/02/new-dba-program/ Program details: https://business.laverne.edu/dba/ At $1,235/credit hour, I think this is too pricey, especially for a school that doesn't have AACSB or any other business program accreditation.
Private universities in California are crazy expensive... I suppose it's in line with housing costs though...
That University of La Verne and Shirley joke must date back to the Carter Administration. I first heard it from a La Verne grad in 1996. Nevertheless, it never fails to make me laugh!
I attended a Brewers exhibition game in Milwaukee a couple of years ago. One of the mascots was a beer keg. All it needed was handcuffs and a breath test!
I have been familiar with this University all my life as I am from SoCal. I loved La Verne and Shirley and I never made that humorous connection. I always knew it from being in the City of La Verne.
