The University of Florida fires Pearson. https://www.insidehighered.com/news/2015/10/23/less-two-years-after-launch-u-florida-reboots-online-education-initiative In a (perhaps) related story, the 10 schools that comprise the Florida state university system move to work together, as a system to address online learning. https://campustechnology.com/articles/2015/10/27/florida-universities-take-system-approach-in-addressing-growth-of-online.aspx
aww crap. I hope this won't change FSU's online degree program offerings or course structure. OR FEES. FSU only charges $290/hr for their computer science program ):
Hmm. Does this mean that Florida is thinking of creating its own online university that essentially pools the resources of all ten of Florida's state universities?
With the new Florida's online university, can its students criticize LSU's students eating grilled alligators on game day? LSU fans are grilling whole alligators before the Florida game | For The Win hahaha!
I think it means that if they're going to offer more than one MBA degree program (for example) then they won't be mirror images of each other just coming out of different campuses. Maybe one campus offers a basic MBA while another offers a specialization, like Healthcare or IT. Non-duplication of offerings. That's what I think.
