Unfortunately, the Tuscon news organization was not one of them. They chose sound bites and effect over substance and useful consumer education.

  2. Achieving its management education quality and continuous improvement goals

Pacific Western University and the AACSB International are working together to this goal:

"…supports your organization in achieving its management education quality and continuous improvement goals"

Again, I have to change; is not just a Membership, is a Great Membership

The AACSB International membership is a great membership to the universities, because this membership:

"…supports your organization in achieving its management education quality and continuous improvement goals"

"AACSB International member services and resources are tailored to your specific needs, whether your organization is a collegiate business administration or accounting school, division or department, or a business organization with strategic interests in collegiate management education"

In addition, the Benefits for the membership include:

Research and survey projects on topics specific to the field of management education

Publications and special reports on trends and issues within management education

    Business administration and accounting accreditation

Professional development programs for faculty and administrators

Involvement opportunities for corporate and educational members on a variety of projects and initiatives

Liaison and collaboration with management education disciplinary associations, U.S. regional deans associations, and counterpart management education associations worldwide

"AACSB International membership provides numerous member services, resources, and opportunities to participate in programs focused on institutional and academic quality and continuous improvement. Member services are designed to meet expectations and quality standards, and meet the most important criteria for member satisfaction."

"Strategic and Mission-Based – Educational institutions, whether your mission is teaching focused, research focused, or both, AACSB International services and resources are designed to meet your needs."

"For corporations, AACSB International membership provides your opportunity to contribute critical information for collegiate management education strategic planning, and conveys the strong signal that your organization is committed to developing future managers for the global economy."

"Accessible – We are continuously expanding the valuable knowledge services and resources available through the AACSB International Web site."

"Value-Added – Member services and resources are value-added for you and your organization because they are comprehensive, economical, and “tailored specifically to member needs.”

This new proprietor is extraordinarily serious, I have to say, that is a great thing that Forte stop working.

And when have the media been any different?

The media is not about 'education' but about sensationalism, misery and entertainment.

And they certainly never let the facts get in the way of a good story!

One comes to mind, but we will have to wait a few more weeks before your question can be definitively answered. ;)

    Just why

Would anyone want a degree, legitimate or not, from a school that was previously widely known as a diploma mill? Sounds like you would be setting yourself up for a lifetime of unnecessarily trying to justify your degree.

Why do people keep getting unaccredited degrees? I am even more amazed when people with legitimate degrees go on to tarnish their hardwork with questionable degrees.

    Heh, heh, heh.

BTW, Orion College was another. But it was told by DETC to beat it, and it died shortly afterwards.

Yes, a degree mill with the "coveted" California State Approval. Which is a good indication as to what state approval is worth, almost nothing. This from the state that the unaccredited school apologists love to reference as the great example of how state approval works so well.

Let's not forget that news story about visits to Dubai by legislators from Wyoming and the recent Alabama licensing surprise.
