    Ted,

I think you misunderstand. I have no desire nor fantasy to be desired by Steve. Its his posts that I find hot -- not him. On top of all that, he's gay is he not? (I think I remember a post by him saying he was looking for a sugar daddy or something like that.) Now that I'm older I just don't think I could sacrifice that much of my ego to be a groupie of anyone.

    ¿Tú comprendés?

Now that we have that out of the way -- so, are you saying you think older women are hot? How old? How hot? ;)

    JoAnn,

    (1) Actually, I understood quite well what you meant but forgot to include this smiley :D in my earlier post.

(2 ) Now, on the other hand, I was almost somewhat serious about what I said. But I fear that I may have been a bit too forward.

You said you like it edgy, but by what you wrote after it, you kinda' blew (no pun intended) the one-liner I first thought of when I read your sentence, above. So that you may still enjoy it, I'll tell you that it was: "No worries there. You don't have a penis." And that's not meant as bad as some might think it sounds. Steve's made no secret of his being gay; and gay guys like Steve who have a very sharp, intelligent and sophisticated sense of humor almost never, from my experience, mind that sort of remark as long as it was intended with the purely humorous way that I intended it. If I'm wrong, I'm sure Steve will chime-in and correct me or tell me that I offended him, immediately upon which, should it happen, I would happily apologize.

As for a debate between me and Steve: I really only jumped on him once, several months back, and I think it had as much to do with my mood and irritation about other things in that thread as it did what he said... although it had to do with that, too. He may not realize it, but subsequently I came to regret what I wrote there that day, however. It's unlikely -- unless we either staged it, or he or I intentionally provoked it -- that he and I would ever argue, though... mostly because I pretty much agree with his take on things when it comes to which institutions are legit and which are just a joke. It's hard to argue with a guy when you're basically a fan, as I am of Steve Levicoff... er... well... at least I'm more fan than foe, let's put it that way. We don't hear a lot from him anymore, but he's just a wealth of good information, and I'm nearly always happy to see his username against the left edge of the screen in any thread.

Same for you, JoAnn... now that I think about it!

(Just tryin' to turn that love/hate thing of yours into more love than hate). ;)

Yeah... I would definitely agree with that... except that I would have spelled "Douglas" with a "g" instead of a "d"... but that's just me.

(See, everyone... agreeing with Lerner can be fun!) ;)

Oh, yeah... and Gus Sainz... don't forget him! Some of you haven't been around long enough to remember how good his stuff can be, and he's been away for a while. But he's made a few posts lately. Trust me when I tell you that his stuff is usually as good as that of anyone else listed in this thread.

Then there's Janko... and... well... see... there are just too many good people to list, here. It would suck if some of our best posters -- and there are many of them -- to feel left out.

So -- and hold on a sec... lemmee put on my moderator cap -- I think it's better to stay away from personalities when we list our favorites, and stick to threads. When we cite a thread we love, we end-up, by so doing, patting whole bunches of people on the back. That's better, I think. Just a suggestion.
