"We have the wall up there now, and we're renovating it already," Trump said they are making it, "pristine," "perfect," and "just as good as new." 5 things Trump said about 'the wall' on Friday - CNNPolitics It looks like Trump has changed his tune regarding the wall.
it's a kind of "Project Runway" for the wall 30-Foot Border Wall Prototypes Erected In San Diego Borderlands : NPR
Looking pretty good. Border wall prototypes PHOTOS: Construction on Trump's border wall prototypes nearly complete - Business Insider Trump's prototypes for Mexico border wall appear - BBC News I'd rather see something like what Israel uses on their border. You can see onto the other side, lots of razor wire and people with guns to protect their sovereign state. http://www.israelhayom.com/2017/09/18/southern-barrier-proves-100-effective-in-preventing-infiltration/ Shoot, I'd be happy with the wall that Jordan put up. We helped build it and fund it, no reason why Jordans Border Security Program couldn't work here too.
This one looks good becuase it's tall, which makes it harder to scale -- and you can see through it, so people can't congregate on the other side without being seen: click here
"...and Mexico will pay for it." "Got $1.6 Billion to start Wall on Southern Border, rest will be forthcoming. Most importantly, got $700 Billion to rebuild our Military, $716 Billion next year...most ever. Had to waste money on Dem giveaways in order to take care of military pay increase and new equipment. — Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) March 22, 2018"
Good talk on top of a bad deal. He got 1.4 billion for "fencing" that he spins as his wall, and didn't get the money he wanted in order to detain more immigrants. The Dems offered $25B for the wall (which he wants, and Liberals hate) and money to fund more of ICE deportation force (which his administration wants, and Liberals hate) in exchange for permanent fix for DACA (which he claims to also want, and which is popular) - a free lunch, and he declined. Now he has no wall and also gifted a talking point to Democrats come midterms. Art of the deal. This is the extent of famous Trump dealmaking in a situation where his party (and it is his party) controls the House, the Senate, Presidency, everything. If this is all he's capable of, he'll be lame duck come November until 2020 - if Mueller won't push him out earlier. Sad.
