green tea just has me feeling better all the time.[/QUOTE] - Bruce (the one they call Bruce) Now I just have to roll over to Boston and teach you some Tai Chi so you can be full on chillaxed. Before you know it, you are going to start wearing a Kung Fu top with a pair of jeans like I do. Abner
My city has a section with a HUGE Asian population, so I've seen people practicing Tai Chi in parks, playgrounds, etc. I don't think I have the patience for it.....I'd rather guzzle an XL green tea from Dunkin Donuts and move on to the next radio call. I actually did study a martial art for several years (Uechi-Ryu Okinawan Karate), until I figured out that the Tao of Pepper Spray and Tao of Nightstick worked a lot better and was a lot safer. :wink1:
You can get these nice spring loaded telescoping steel batons that fit into a little belt holster, not as obvious as a real nightstick.
That's actually what we carry (ASP collapsible baton), but my old-school mind still calls it a nightstick, the same as Gillette Stadium will always be Schaefer Stadium to me. I was trained in the straight wooden stick "Lamb Method" in the academy, and old habits die hard, especially when you're getting old yourself. About the ASP....every time I take it out and deploy it, I feel like a Jedi Knight turning on his light saber.
