As "alternative facts", if one does not want to cope with reality, are en vogue these days, well, I decided to adopt this technique. So, I decided to believe that La France did in reality win the World Cup!!
It was a most exciting match, one for the ages. I am disappointed that the most important soccer championship in the world was decided by something that isn't soccer. Might as well have tried Rock/Paper/Scissors/Lizard/Spock. I would have preferred sudden-death OT. Of course, the way things unfurled, that would have yielded the same outcome.

I don't know what, if anything, is normal about soccer. I DID hear something about the UK sending 800 Soccer Hooligans to Ukraine - to assist Ukrainian forces in straightening out Putin's mob. They'll do well, I'm sure.
