I feel like I've known a few too many George Constanza's in my day. One in particular rubbed me the wrong way so much that I did the unthinkable - I removed the person as a contact from LinkedIn. This was someone who had more initials after their name than in their actual name. Not to mention they were the most shameless self-promoter I've ever seen with daily, poorly paraphrased ramblings of every business platitude ever while masquerading them as their own original words... like I'm talking to the point where they would put a black & white picture of themselves against a black background and put the phrase in quotations and attribute it to, you guessed it, themselves.

Oh, but hey... Good job EKU.

And I should probably get some more sleep.

Wow. Facebook, not infrequently, a lot of people seem pretty comfortable being psychotic there. But I don't think that I've never had to remove a contact on LinkedIn in the ten years I've been on that site.

I've noticed a disturbing trend for some people to treat LinkedIn like Facebook, with political rants and pictures of their dinner. It's strictly a networking and professional resource for me.
