Oh, please. Why should consenting adults be able to sell it for dinner and movie but not for cash? There's even a rights group on this:

(And before someone gets the wrong idea, no, this isn't really my thing, but I sort of feel compelled to step in here for libertarian reasons.)

Well, I've long held this conspiracy theory: Unions keep things like this illegal.

My reasoning goes something like this: Unions need to have larger memberships to survive and be viable. Some of the largest unions represent government workers. Many government workers are in some form of law enforcement. That means the unions need more laws that can be enforced by their members. Enforcing prostitution and marijuana laws (and other laws that many people claim are harmless crimes) keeps union people gainfully employed. All the while, the politicians can point to lower unemployment rates, and also say "Oh, look, we are keeping America safe". Since most people don't mess with prostitutes and marijuana, most people don't think much about it. I'm sure it's messier than that, but as conspiracy theories go I think this is a good one.

Hiya, Sean. I'll let you know when the program begins in October - as of now, I'm enrolled and signed up for classes. Two of my coworkers have completed this program, and were pretty positive about it. Being military it's (for all intents and purposes) free, and I can complete it right around the time I retire. I'll keep you updated. Take care!

Thanks, Dave. Good luck! I'm sure that you will shine there.

I am considering Strayer University in Glen Allen, VA. My thoughts are that since I'll be new in town (and living a stone's throw from Glen Allen), physically attending the local I.T. program could be useful in enhancing my social life by letting me meet people with whom I share some things in common. It might even enhance my professional life. :)

If you read my post, it seems I advocate that very thing ... and on libertarian grounds!
