The Republicans ran the money machine printing presses at Mach 2, so I suppose now they'll be at Mach 3. Invest accordingly, I suppose.

    All is relative.
Some in US fear of what is the left bringing especially the what is called the Great Reset.

This isn’t the first time Kerry has thrown his weight behind the Great Reset. At a June World Economic Forum virtual event, Kerry said the coronavirus pandemic was “a big moment” that opened the door for the Great Reset and that, “The World Economic Forum – the CEO capacity of the Forum – is really going to have to play a front and center role in refining the Great Reset to deal with climate change and inequity — all of which is being laid bare as a consequence of COVID-19.”
Justin Haskins is the editorial director of the Heartland Institute.

The evidence is now crystal clear about Biden’s connection to the Great Reset. He, John Kerry and the rest of the Biden administration are planning to bring the Great Reset to the United States. And if they are successful, the country will never be the same.

On the one hand, I'd be the first to agree that the World Economic Forum exists solely to promote the interests of well-connected corporate and political elites. George Carlin may as well have been referring directly to WEF when he said, "It's a big club... and you ain't in it." This Great Reset they're pushing will be no exception: https://www.weforum.org/great-reset

On the other hand, it's easy to overstate what the specific intentions of those pushing it really are. Scratch the patina of lofty ideals and you'll find nothing more than their usual crony corporatism. So if you hear people warning about things like "global socialism!", I'd say that's just the predictable going off the deep end by the usual deep-enders.

The picture in my mind of the deep-enders is these poor fellows running around franticly with their hair on fire. The sad part is that their hair will burn forever.

Many Conservatives recommend moderate Democrats to realize that far left first target is Conservatives - you're next.

Republicans realizing they may loose large base of voters with Trump departure.
So they have a reason to be concerned.
I just hope a civil unrest or even worse doesn't happen.

Who is Glen Greenwald and why should we care what he says?

Glenn Greenwald is one of the most well known journalists of our time, primarily because he worked with Edward Snowdon while he was at The Guardian to break the NSA domestic surveillance scandal, and won a Pulitzer for it.

Whether you want to listen to him is up to you. But personally I find him interesting for being someone on the left who's not afraid to break with the orthodoxy of his own side. Too few journalists from any point of view do that.

Someone asked Huey Long whether fascism would come to America. He said, "Sure to only here it will be called anti-fascism."

And Upton Sinclair supposedly said, "When fascism comes to America, it will be wrapped in the flag and carrying a cross." Both are probably misattributions, but the juxtaposition is an interesting pointer towards the Nolan chart and/or horseshoe theory.

Thanks for the explanation. He really didn't say anything that I hadn't heard before. Perhaps if I was an editor at the Washington Post his article would have been more interesting?

I guess the follow up question should be why should anyone care to try to pick his statements apart? Or perhaps Spoony alternatively could explain what he found interesting about it? Perhaps Spoony just wanted to see some posts in the political forum?
