And free and online so I can do all this while watching my favorite soap at home. And forgot, that also leads to a recognized career and a degree that is respected by everyone including Steve Levicoff.

This is the typical post in this forum.
Online is not for everyone, it is not ideal for those looking for new or a switch into a new career. You cannot expect to be a life changer while others spend the time doing the networking, the face to face contact and investing the money while the other is staying home and not willing to invest the money.
Few here come with the idea that online degree from a low profile school is going to change a life, it takes a lot more than a degree earned in free time to achieve this.

In the context of this thread I generally agree with your point. However, I know a woman, working in retail for years. She was good at her job, well-liked but no degree. She got a Business degree online and almost immediately was invited to apply for the store manager position. Better pay, better hours and the prospect of upward mobility. I think she felt it was life-changing. As for this whole "free online PhD" thingy, perhaps Kurt Vonnegut said it best, "In this world, you get what you pay for."

First of all, 8 years wasn't that long ago. Heck, I was even a member back then and I'm practically a spring chicken around here.
The more relevant question is "where is the OP now?"

Well I can't really say where he is but I can say that he hasn't been at DI since April 17th of 2011.

Given the Op's determination to become a Doctor of Theology or similar for free and fast. Most likely completed a theology program from a religious exempt degree program and is working now as a speaker for some Christian TV or youtube channel or minister in a church and flashing his or her PhD credential like thousands of people do in order to show credibility.
As some person already mentioned, are you really interested in serving God or yourself? If God, you don't need a PhD and you should start by serving others and never mind the fancy credential. If you are interested in serving your ego, then any of the fast track cheap PhDs religious exempt degrees would do.

Don't we all serve ourselves, even when we are altruistic? Can god be served?

I love it when threads get philosophical.. I'm going to answer yes and yes.

I was referring to the original OP intention:
    "
I prefer something that caters more to the people and building a ministry, but with solid biblical courses."

"I know I did say I want it FAST, but I just meant that I want the studies to be accelerated..not to take 3 or 4 full years."

The person claims that wants to build a ministry but not willing to serve a church or a local ministry in order to get a credential but looking for a fast track online free program that can boost his or her writing career. The OP wants something quick and unwilling to spend the several years to earn a ministerial credential. It takes years to learn something and effort to earn the respect of a spiritual community by providing service. The request is an insult to those that spend years in seminary and many more after graduation to earn an ordination.

The OP seems to want just a quick doctorate to serve his or her ego and use this credential to give authority to his or her writings in order to sell a book that might target those that can be impressed with a PhD title.

It is fine to serve yourself with a degree for a career in something like finance or engineering but the OP is claiming that wants to build a ministry in order to serve a community but unwilling to put the years of work and service.

Ministerial careers most of the time do not require a doctorate, serious people serving in these positions spend time serving others by ministering the sick, helping people in need, etc and do not need a PhD to perform these duties but just real vocation to do it.
