"The New York Police Department responded to a bomb threat at the Milstein Center at Barnard College and is evacuating the building, according to a post on X on Wednesday at approximately 5 p.m. ET.

"Anyone who refuses to leave the location is subject to arrest," the NYPD advisory said. "Please stay away from the area."

The bomb threat came following a disruption earlier in the day at the Milstein Center, in which "masked disruptors" entered the building in the midst of classes and dining hall prep, according to a statement from Barnard."

Several people, as many as ten, are in custody according to the NYPD.

Police are still sweeping Barnard College following the bomb threat and the investigation is ongoing.

The Hamas supporters were calling for the reversal of the expulsion of the three Barnard students who were disciplined for distributing flyers inside a Columbia University lecture.

Ya, it is Hamas. Everything bad ever is Hamas. Stubbed your toe? Hamas. Eggs are expensive? Hamas. College bomb threats? Hamas.

Unfortunately, people calling in threats happen regularly at college campuses. It is a larger problem than a few protestors.

Thanks for explaining that to me. I was wondering how I got Irritable Bowel Syndrome. Now I'm thinking maybe it was Hamas?

Let's see what will be found by the competent agencies.
Terror threat on campus during pro - Palestinian - pro hams take over of the library, there are violent disruptions not peaceful protests. Nor it was peaceful last week,

This video news article too makes no mention of Hamas. Your conspiracy thinking has apparently separated you from reality. Although I must admit that I hate and mistrust Hamas even more since coming up with the conspiracy theory that Hamas caused my IBS.

I think you accidentally said the quiet part out loud again by saying “Pro-Palestinian” rhetoric is the same as “Hamas”. This explains alot.

Hamas is designated as a terrorist organization by the U.S., EU, and several other countries, but not all protesters align with or support Hamas. The motivations behind pro-Palestinian protests are diverse and should not be assumed to be driven by any single group or ideology.

How they are influenced, some are influenced by false narratives about Israel and Gaza war.

    Oscars:
So the movie "No Other Land" is about the supposed dispossession of the Palestinians
    from Masafer Yatta,
What's interesting is that according to the research "The Arab Village and its Offshoots in Ottoman Palestine",
That area (mark with red with surrounding villages mark with orange for recognition) was completely empty during the entire Ottoman
period, based on Ottoman map of the area and documets.
Not even temporary settlement existed there,
Which pretty much is the Israeli claim
That the residents only expanded to the area in much later period, not before the late 19th century, and even then,
It was for temporary nomadic reasons.
Permanent Arab villages didn't exist there before 1980.

So you are fine that these "protesters" terrorised Jewish students and disrupted order in the college?
Your only problem is that I call them Hamas supporters, while some are for sure are ?
    You support their actions?

What a silly comment. You do realize the point of a protest is to disrupt order.

You also use the term “terrorize” fast and loose here. They were not terrorizing anyone. They were protesting. This is constitutionally protected.

You are also conflating Jewish and the state of Israel yet again. Protesting the state of Israel does not mean protesting Jewish people. In fact, Jewish people have participated in many Anti-Israel protests. Jewish people are not a monolith, and actually the majority of Jewish people do not live in Israel.

You seem to diluting purposely, acupation of college facilities, disruption of studies and terrorizing Jewish students on campus as a "protest".
So why police arrested 10 "protestors".
    Why they are wearing masks?
    This is hostile crowd.
    Some expelled, good start.
The"proteters" terrorizing US college, not Israeli college. Most of the Jewiah students are not Israelis but US citizens.
Who is instigating and feeding false narative, and using the peotestors?

A protest is suppose to be disruptive. How do you not understand that?

Police arresting someone does not mean they did anything wrong. Were they charged? If so, for what?

So what if they wear a mask? How is that evidence of wrongdoing?

Again, this was not terrorism. It was a protest. Maybe this explains your confusion when you say Palestinians existing are committing terrorism, but Israel committing genocide isn't.

The U.S. State Department has confirmed that it revoked the visa of a university student, citing their involvement in criminal activities related to disruptions supporting Hamas. Due to legal restrictions, the department did not disclose the student's identity or the university they attended.

"Last evening, we revoked the first visa of an individual previously cited for criminal behavior linked to Hamas-related disruptions," the State Department stated. "This individual was a university student, and ICE will take steps to remove this person from the country."

Columbia University faces the immediate loss of grants and contracts totaling about $400 million for failing to address antisemitism, a Trump administration task force said Friday.

The Justice Department task force to combat antisemitism, led by Leo Terrell, has been probing 10 institutions because of their responses to antisemitic incidents on campuses since the Oct. 7, 2023, Hamas attacks on Israel. But Columbia, which faced intense scrutiny for its students’ high-profile antiwar encampment and building occupations last spring, is the first institution to have its grants and contracts frozen.

You do realize that "antid=semitism" is used as a pretext for a preemptive crackdown on potential centers of dissent, right? It is designed this way to get cover from people like you. Do you seriously think there will be anything good for you out of this?

Not sure what you are trying to say.
In my eyes Jihadis must be stopped.
Its like OUN, holocaust by the bullets that paired with SS to get read of non Ukranian groups from Ukraine.
The nationalistic groups, that helped Nazis.
My grandma's entire family were massacred she escaped as they burned her village. It was not Germans who did it.
Unlike my mother who was saved by the neighbor, grandma said - out of the Russians and Germans the Ukrainian Nazi collaborators were worse.
It's her experience. So unlike majority of Ukrainians who I call brothers and sisters, there are some among Palestinians, not all evil. But Jihadists are.
Now I see the rise of this evil on all the campuses worldwide.
This is how i see it.
