I agree fully, terrorists are terrorists. However, to claim that loyalist groups cause "far more" crime & violence than the IRA is ridiculous.

Certainly there is. We see an example after every election.

The English (not the Scottish, if I understand it correctly) are quite open to foreign lawyers becoming solicitors. As a member of the New Mexico State Bar, I would have to pass exams in three subject areas and meet some other practice requirements. They have a very well established route to qualification.

That is merely the will of the majority of people who voted in that election. Even then there's often a "lesser of two evils" situation where the voters are choosing whichever option they dislike less. That's hardly a basis for moral authority.

    Bruce,

You might want to do a little research, before making such emphatic statements.

From the FIRST REPORT OF THE INDEPENDENT MONITORING COMMISSION:

    Re: Independent Monitoring Commission

Your source cites incidents since 1/1/03....almost a year and a half. Not exactly a good indicator of the overall situation, since the terrorists (both sides) have been killing innocents for decades.

    Bruce,

Only yesterday, you were quick to remind us that the year is 2004:

How far back do you want to go? To look at the "overall situation," one would have to go back hundreds of years.

    My point exactly.
