I came across a French private school that offers "Micro Doctor's" degrees in Vietnam for several hundred Euros; https://paris-u.edu.vn/micro-degree/. These short-term programs will keep popping up. Some of them will have the endorsements of solid schools, whole others will come from obscure places.

While I am familiar with the Ofqual recognitions (OTHM and LRN) along with the Bologna ECTS system, I don't think any of the nonsense on this page makes any sense as far as institutional accreditation is concerned:

    https://paris-u.fr/accreditation/

Of course, not being super well-versed in French & German legal systems, I'll leave it to our resident experts as to whether the degrees and micro-credentials have any hope of being recognized as RA or the like for our American audience.

Definitely non-accredited. Non-"reconnu." Registered as some kind of society in France.

Uh -- yes. So they do. They also have ASIC accreditation, which is meaningless in our US sense.

What degree equivalency do you think one of this unaccredited (in our sense) "diplomas" would get you, from a recognized US Foreign Credential evaluator?

I think it's pretty clear, except they have things listed in a funny order. The way I read it is:

450 Euro for the diploma, complete. tuition plus printed and electronic diplomas.
650 Euro for conversion to the degree.
200 euro for printed degree, plus APEL documents.
    ___
    1,300 Total.

I went to the page: Headings in English and blurb in Vietnamese. I guess instruction is also in Vietnamese.

Không phải là một ý tưởng tốt.
    (Not a good idea.)

Plus - as a micro-doctor, you can only treat very small patients, for extremely minor ailments - and you may only charge a micro-fee. I read the Micro-Book. :)

Next time, I am just going to avoid the link. You're right.

The Vietnamese site and the OTHM-endorsed Level 7 diploma site are both generated by the same school. The State-unrecognized, private Université Libérale de Paris.

No, a micro-doctor is when you get the degree and then they shrink you so you can go on the inside to treat patients. Have you not seen the documentary Fantastic Voyage?

    Not a Documentary. 1966 Movie. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0060397/
And yes, I saw it back in the 60s. Very forgettable. I'll just stick with what I said. Thank you for your comment.

For me, or anyone looking at the Level 8 closely, if this is a diploma for that price, you can contact a few DBA/DProf institutions directly to consult if they will take this or not. Once you get a few approved options, it's the cheapest... 450€ Level 8 tuition & fees for hard and electronic diplomas, that's the only fee I am thinking you pay for. The second cheapest I was looking at previously was twice as expensive, but they can ladder to a few DBA/DProf.

"Fantastic Voyage"? Yep, there is a lot Mr. Isaac Asimov said about it...

By the way, 1300 Euros for a Level 7 Diploma is an ok price, but there are a lot of better prices out there!

Well, the only good thing I can say here, is that Raquel Welch was in the movie. :)
Raquel=Memorable. The rest=forgettable. And yes - I admit I have a selective memory. Very selective. So what? :)
