Looks good - and it appears to be a REAL collaboration - not one that exists on a piece of paper, like the old Uni of Wales scheme that came to grief over 10 years ago. According to the writeup. you get:

    (a) Parchment from both schools - Trinity St. Davids and U. Malaya.
That's an advantage for Asian grads who are looking to work in UK - they have a UK degree. Nothing wrong with a U. Malaya degree; their system is known good - very good, in fact.

    (b) Two qualifications - the MBA and Chartered Manager.
That may only be a minor advantage for North American students. I don't think the Chartered Institute of Managers and its qualifications are as well-known here as they are overseas.

I almost wish I wanted an MBA. I'd now have to choose between this and HAU. Hellenic American is a smokin' deal -- and its accreditation makes it particularly suitable for US students (I'm not one). As for me, I like Brit. Unis - and Malaysian ones too, for that matter - so, put that together with an additional qualification (Chartered Manager) and I think I'd spring for the extra $800.

And I note there's a "post-graduation" project attached to this one. Sounds interesting.

Wow, this looks great! I skimmed their website and that's the only online program they have, the rest are part/time or full/time on campus. Amazing deal if you would like a UK based degree, it will rival those that are "top up" in both price and courses taught, probably the course structure would be very good as well. It's not just the cost that's appealing, but the courses are interesting as well. I see they have two projects... As mentioned by Johann... If those who want an international MBA this would be my choice, those looking for just an US MBA, the $3K HAU would be the ticket!

I think if this collaboration ever decided to offer a distance DBA it would fill up pretty darn fast! I think they have the ability to organize and teach such a program very well indeed by distance, probably at a price-point that would attract all the students they could handle - especially from North America.

    Great find!

Liverpool John Moores University has a similar collaboration with an Indian university that used to be $3500 and is now between $8-9k for an MBA. The LJMU degree is still a great deal, but the lesson here is that when a school undertakes an initiative that significantly decreases costs get 'em while they're hot, because it probably won't stay that way for very long.

I LIKE that school - only partially because Dr. Brian May, CBE, guitarist in Queen, was its Chancellor for five years - 2008-2013.

After 35 years of playing in the band, Brian May may went back and finished the PhD. in Astrophysics that he was forced to stop work on many years previously, due to the surging popularity of Queen. He stepped down at the end of his five-year term as Chancellor in 2013 and is still very active with Queen. Impressive as a musician, as a scholar and as a charitable person, too.

@TEKMAN BTW - his PhD. in Astrophysics was earned at Imperial College London. I believe our Tekman is pursuing an MBA there.

Time for Her Majesty to upgrade Dr May.

...but CBE is quite a distinguishing Honour, as it is. Perhaps Dr. May would serve his country best, not with an additional Royally-bestowed Honour, but as Prime Minister. He'd be a whole lot better than the incumbent! And I think if an election were held tomorrow, he'd beat Boris de Pfeffel Johnson handily! Dr. May has a much larger, very enthusiastic fan-base - as he well deserves.

He's a masterful musician, an Astrophysics Ph.D , a CBE, served well as a University's Chancellor, has a huge number of fans and...
....He's on VERY good terms with Queen ... and THE Queen. Doesn't get any better than that. He's earned it - ALL of it!

Unfortunately for the MBA program, one does not get the "dual award", and for clarity the dual award is from UWTSD & IUMW, not one from UM (University Malaya). This is outlined in the fees page here: Fees - IUMW
Seems that dual award only applies to certain bachelor's program, and you need to pay extra for it.

That being said, it is still a legitimate MBA that is accredited by the MQA and recognized by the Ministry of Education in Malaysia.
