I am looking for a Masters in Admin, Liberal Studies, or General that will allow me to take a whole bunch of courses at a time. Preferrably a US Regionally Accredited school that offers degrees wholly through distance learning. I graduated from Thomas Edison with little difficulty with a BA in Sociology and I know that the Heriot Watt MBA Program is out of my league. I am looking for speed rather than quality per se. This is, I believe, misleading enough to warrant further comment, and I hope Rich will make sure I've got it right. MIGS is incorporated in Nevada and operated from Florida, and is therefore very much a U.S. entity. MIGS also does not issue degrees. The degrees to be conferred as a result of a program of study through MIGS will be awarded by MIGS' parent institution, the Centro de Estudios Universitarios, an appropriately accredited Mexican institution. I'll give a brief answer (because I was referred to by name), then encourage the moderators to move any further activity regarding MIGS to the MIGS board (otherwise known as the "Dead Zone"). Two things: first, Bill got it right. MIGS does not award degrees; the CEU does. And while MIGS is operated in the U.S. by people in the U.S., it is done so with the approval of the CEU and the Secretary of Education in Nuevo Leon. Second, it is irresponsible to recommend a MIGS/CEU program to anyone at this point. That's why I never do it. Let's have a few people graduate and see that their issued credentials are in order, and that things work out as MIGS, the CEU, and the government say they will. Rich Douglas
