It has something to do with the way blogs, twitter, and other sites link back to each other, which, in turn, drives more traffic and also affects a site's pagerank with Google. Not something we really need to worry about as it is handled mostly automatically by the SEO plugin we have.
HR - I too believe that fortune favors the bold. My coach has another way of saying it though . . . You make your own luck.
Two reasons why I didn't Google it. 1. I did Google it. Oh, I guess there was just one reason. Oh well Actually, I was looking for someone to put it to me in layman's terms. I'm not a dummy* but I didn't really understand any of the explanations I found for it, and was not interested in reading the Wikipedia page for it (why is it always the first darn hit?! ). Oh, and that whole "lmgtfy" is hilarious! *this is obviously a subjective statement.
