If I had my way, alcohol would be illegal also.

But we tried that, didn't work too well.

I have a question for you.

Everyone knows the problems of alcohol abuse in our society. It is really bad, I don't know many who would argue it is not.

Alcohol abuse amont teens and pre-teens is at an all time high, and I would bet it is not much better among those who call themselves Christian.

Given that, why would anyone advocate adding yet another substance to create yet more ills in society? (at least I assume you are advocating the legal use of marajuana, if for nothing else other than consistency)

Maybe the next time he and his buddies are sitting around the trailer doing bongs, he can put down the Doritos long enough to write a letter to his Congressman.

Actually, grgwll went to great lengths to point out the weakness in both your arguments. Neither one of you could figure it out.

Maybe you both should find SOME drug to take that would give you a new perspective.

 

I thought there were some standards on this board. Obviously, I was wrong. Clearly, slander is welcomed at Degreeinfo -- as long as you slander the right people.

Which is fine with me. It only highlights the stupidity of those people who post such nonsense.

For your information: I don't drink, but I think alcohol should be leagal. I don't smoke, but I think tobacco should be legal. I'm not a Christian, but I think Christianity should be legal.

Obviously, it's impossible for you to understand that the fact that you personally don't agree with something doesn't necessarily mean it should be illegal. And the fact that a person advocated the legality of something doesn't necessarily mean that they participate in that activity.

Tom, exactly what was the weakness in my argument that grgrwll pointed out? Maybe if you point it out also I'll be able to figure it out.

My problem with grgrwll has nothing to do with our differences of opinion. It has to do with the huge chip on his shoulder. Show me one post in which he did not try to insult, inflame, or defame someone.

Including myself, there are at least two other members of this board who have expressed their intention to not converse with grgrwll any longer. I suspect there are prpbably more who just choose not to engage him.

 

How about this one:

That's the first one I see that I can't identify anything for you to whine about.
