And... last night on Hannity and Colmes, a black activist attorney called Hannity "You're just a rich white boy with no clue". What if Hannity responded back, "You're just a middle class black boy with no clue"? Shit would hit the fan. I am sick of all of this political correctness being one sided. Same goes for the Islam group. China and Russia supports them, but they too are "enemies of Islam" because they are not Muslims. Once the Muslim countries are done with them, using them to gain whatever, they will become the next targets.

Anyway, to get back on topic, I don't think "Kramer" should do no more than he already has, that is apologize for his outburst. I watch black comedy quite often and black comedians often make comments that are indeed offensive racist remarks towards white audience members. If the shoe was on the other foot, such as in this case, there would be hell to pay.

I wouldn't give a rats ass if Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton or the other black activist leaders accepted my apology or not. They have made plenty of racist remarks in the past in tirates, and still do. But if you're white, you can't do it.

I recall Al Sharpton's and Jessee Jackson's insulting name calling of Jews. And the Black Panthers get on television making insulting remarks and name calling of whites but no outrage is voiced.

We are all Americans and I think it is so ignorant for labels such as African-Americans, Indian-Americans, Native-Americans, Aisian-Americans. This creates raical divides. If you notice on most applications, required demographic information on other forms list the above except there is no White-American or European-American or Russian-American, etc.

The other night I saw something on tv about there being someone who finally spoke out in defense of Kramer: none other than Mel Gibson. Does anyone know whether what I saw was real or a comedy routine? I was rather a bit tired at the time I saw this.

Hi Ted, I think that was a comedy routine. I caught the tail end of that program.

    *Sigh*

FYI... not all blacks use the n-word, I REFUSE to use it, even in jest. So when someone comes with that "Well, black PEOPLE should stop using the n-word" crap, I kindly remind them that we are INDIVIDUALS within a race, and no matter how many black people say or do something, that isn't representative of us ALL. 1, 10, 100, 1000, or even 1000000 black folks don't represent us all.

And what's truly disgusting? That some people attempt to justify the trash that came out of that man's mouth with "Well, black people say it all the time". Just because SOME ignorant black folks toss "nigger" around like it's a comma doesn't mean it is somehow ethically "right" for ANYONE to degrade people by calling them that and insulting them as vigorously as "Kramer" did.

Yes, maybe there is a double-standard with SOME black people who are more than willing to degrade their fellow black man/woman by calling them terms that were invented to degrade us and at the same time get mad when a non-black uses it, but by no means is it a view held by all black people. Grief.

As for being PC, I *WISH* that more people who feel this way would express their views. That lets me know who and who NOT to support with my hard-earned dollars, who and who NOT to associate myself with, and who and who NOT to take my child around.

Also, because I'm on mini-rant mode now ;) , let me add that while I don't LIKE the damned word, I do believe in free speech -- even if that speech offends me. I also believe that all speech has a consequence to it, positive or negative. So no, don't ban the n-word, let people use it all they like so that those of us who don't like the word will know what kind of people we're dealing with. I'd no sooner associate myself with a black man who used the word in jest than a white man who used the word in anger - so the consequence to that kind of speech, to me, would be to avoid that type of person as much as I could.

*Whew* I'm done. I don't blame you if you don't bother reading this rant.:D

And, oh yeah, just some random FYI about me: I refer to myself as either Black, Black American, or American, depending on the subject matter (i.e if I were filling out an application and it asked for race, I'd put down Black or Black, but if I were on an International forum and asked what nationality I am, I'd put American). I don't call myself African-American simply because the only connection I have to Africa is that my ancestors from hundreds of years ago arrived from there. My fiance is from Africa, and any children that we will have would be called African-American, and rightly so. That also is a view that's held by other blacks, and I won't get into all of the tired debates that I have had with other blacks over black vs. African-American.

LJam4U, I admire your individualist approach.

As for being asked one's ethnicity, when I was out west, sometimes forms that asked for that would have a fill in the blank for "tribe". I always wrote in "Celt".

I have said Nigger several times in my life. Not once was I referring to a black person when I said it. You have to know my family. That has been 20 plus years ago.

Did any of you guys get to hear that professor from NC State University down in N O on CSPAN. He said that whites were the problem with this country and this world and we "referring to blacks" needed to figure out how to get rid of all of them". This was just recent. He was using very racist and violent remark towards the white population in general. There are no good whites.

This guy was serious. And, there were people in the audience clapping. It was a Katrina show aired on CSPAN.

BTW - there is now a new group - FBMA - Future Black Men of America. Now - we need - FWMA - Future White Men of America too.

I think Kramer is more used to acting. I liked him on Seinfeld. When it comes to stand up comedy he still needs more experience. It's sad what has happened to him.

On the other hand, Kramer just accomplished as a stand-up comic what he was accustomed to doing as an actor on Seinfeld: making a fool out of himself.
