Jordan Peterson to Launch Academy

I'm doubtful how effectively the Peterson Academy's eight-hour video courses will translate to semester hour equivalents. One semester hour "must include at least 30 clock hours of instruction" by U.S. federal regulations. I haven't seen reference from the Peterson Academy to any additional readings or activity, or to any student contact with faculty. There is that reference to "AI-testing."

8 hours / 30 hours = 0.267. I'll generously assume some additional activities can get it up to 0.3 semester hours.

120 semester hours per bachelor's degree / 0.3 semester hours per course = using Peterson Academy courses alone, a student would have to take 400 courses to attain a structural equivalent to a bachelor's degree. Peterson Academy currently offers 18 courses and is adding 3 courses per month. At this rate it will be more than 10 years before the Peterson Academy offers this structural equivalent to a bachelor's degree.

 

If I unterstand that, do I get points for critical thinking and quantitative reasoning?
