I already showed you my vitae, I posted the details the evening of Oct 17 right here on this thread, I gave you pretty much everything pertinent, I did so in specific response to your demands (see previous post). You're acting like I did nothing. What in the heck are you talking about? Gosh this is confusing.

You, Mr. "detente" aka Mr. hypocrisy, who from the onset came on like a gang buster with your unrelenting personal attacks in lieu of substantive feedback related to the topic of this thread, have the audacity and arrogance to describe my "demand", as being "...made in a darned rude way"? As you mentioned in a previous post, you better have your wife remind you of how you are coming across on this forum. Please let us know what she says.

DegreeInfo is gonna need a bigger boat if people keep taking Jan's bait.

It's not confusing whatsoever. In fact its very clear. You have demonstrated that your word is not your bond, as with your establishing a "detente" but immediately followed your allegedly benign detente with a blistering continuation of ad hominem attacks against me.

This is not exactly the kind of behavior that engenders trust but a sign to stay away and keep distance because quite frankly the level of your vindictive response is an indication to maintain distance, NOT moving forward to reveal personal information. End of story. Good luck to you.

You are misconstruing my intent. I was calling FTFaculty's bluff, not actually seeking information regarding his vitae and intellectual attainments, by holding him accountable for continuing to make denigrating comments about a poster and devaluing their perspectives and opinions without being held to the same standards he was constantly demanding from me!

Btw, Decimon, I realize that you enjoy roiling others with your digging and provocative comments from your position of anonymity, but do not see very much in regard to substance in your postings relating to the subject of the original thread. Merely an observation.

Wow . . . Jan is being even more incendiary than Rich. How long before he, she, or it gets banned?

Of course, the difference between them is that, if Jan were banned on a temporary basis, then he, she, or it would come back afterwards. Rich is merely looking at the board once a week or so but still licking his wounds.

But now that the presidential debates are over, DI is once again a big source of, um, entertainment. :sigh1:

You left out the fact that this totally irrelevant CV ego battle was initiated by you. You started it in post #99 in the accredited vs non-accredited thread when you wrote:

"Jan- What are your academic credentials? What is your expertise in this area? What experience do you have in online and other forms of higher education?

Let's start with that. Forgive my oversight if you have already laid this out in detail on this forum."

I perceived that as your attempt to divert discussion away from IUGS's credibility towards a juvenile ego contest between you and Jan, carried out on ground pre-selected by you where you believed that you held the advantage.

    In post #104, I asked,

"What do FTF's or Jan's "academic credentials" have to do with IUGS' credibility or with whether IUGS is a good choice for prospective graduate students like Ani?"

    In post #108 you wrote:

"Ok, here's what it has to do with things.

If you have done research into nontraditional overseas doctorates, academic research, as in for publication for journals..."

...followed by a long paragraph consisting entirely of you bragging about yourself, ending with:

"...I dare say you might know a mite more about online programs, doctorates, accreditation and the validity thereof, than the average Jan who can't even be bothered to share his/her credentials!"

    http://www.degreeinfo.com/general-distance-learning-discussions/31185-accredited-vs-non-accredited-doctoral-degree-7.html

Unfortunately despite all this (implicit) published research into nontraditional overseas doctorates, you were still just playing ego games with Jan, boasting about yourself in an area where you believed Jan wouldn't be able to compete.

Worse, you seemingly are insisting that only individuals with lengthy enough CVs are qualified to make judgments about program credibility and suitability. I pointed that it's precisely the prospective graduate students without the CVs who are trying to choose a program who find themselves in the position of having to make these judgements.

That's why I suggested that you put whatever superior expertise you may or may not have to work by contributing something thoughtful, well-informed and helpful to the problem of evaluating online programs operating out of off-shore locations where academic standards and oversight are unknown and opaque.

Whoa . . . Now it's between FTFaculty and hierophant?

I take back what I said about entertainment. This is getting to be a bore.

Is that all there is, is that all there is
If that's all there is my friends, then let's keep dancing
Let's break out the booze and have a ball
    If that's all there is

I'd lock the thread at this point except for two things
    1) Levicoff predicted it
    2) I'm having fun seeing just how childish this can get

So don't let me down, keep pushing the boundaries of foolishness, I know you can do it.
