Stanislav, what’s the moral difference between:
Both were authorized under the prevailing governments.

    I'm not Stanislav, but:

    (1) I think it's not infanticide you're discussing - it's feticide, one of your favourite words. The definition of infanticide I found is - killing a child within a year of birth. (Not before birth).
    (2) Those abortions are entered into voluntarily by the women involved. Various governments - through the wishes of the people - have confirmed the women's right of control over their own bodies. I think that process is called democracy. You've often expressed a liking for democracy.
    (3) The deaths in Nazi camps were in no way voluntary. No victim asked to die or be maltreated and was subsequently granted his wish.

I don't like the idea of abortion - and I respect the right of religious groups and others not to like it either - even yours. Just as long as the protest is not violent or uncivil - like bombings, or crowd-shaming outside clinics, etc. But I realize that I, personally, have no business meddling with the rights of any persons who avail themselves of an abortion. The alternative to legal abortions will be illegal abortions, whether we like/approve or not. And that is profoundly worse. So I mind my own business - and I don't manufacture meaningless, manipulative false comparisons, such as the one you made here. That's all I have to say.

Have fun, but to me this is a completely pointless discussion, because the two loudest points of view are based on irreconcilable guesses about when humanness begins.

I DO like the idea of birth control, though. And it seems some groups aren't exactly with me on that. But I guess I'll mind my own business, again.

Perhaps that's because no spiritual leader will ever admit to guessing, Steve. Though they will, of course, expound views on abortion anyway. And expect absolute obedience from the faithful.

You know, when you put my reply under an argument other than the one it replied to, I don't have to answer on account of your sheer dishonesty. So find someone else to debate.

Are you going to have another debate , where you stake out a ridiculous position it becomes almost impossible tell if you are serious or just making a mockery of others’ time.

You understand that a person can be against abortion and can also be against the separation of children at the border. The two are not mutually exclusive.

That is me. I'm pro-life, against psychologically abusing children by unnecessarily taking them away from their parents, and generally against the death penalty due to numerous mistakes made.

In my own opinion, threads like this only create heat, not light. It would be nice if there were less fighting, not more. I've locked the thread.
