    Hi Reham,

Could you provide us with some more information -- this would help us give you more focused advice.

For example, you say you are already in a PhD program... so why are you looking to switch?

Also, please note that it would be extremely unusual to be able to complete a reputable, accredited PhD program in only 2 years, even if you didn't work and were studying full-time. Why are you keen on the 2 year limit?

    Cheers,
    Adrienne

So far as I know, most US-based universities will require at least three years. Why the two year limit? I'll try to look up what unis offer the HR doc. Also, it would be helpful to know if your current doctoral program is a US-style (coursework + dissertation) or UK-style (dissertation-only) program.

Thank you for your reply. the reason why i am looking for another university becasue this year we are facing accredetation problem !! and i would like to submit my papers to another college or university .

My PhD ( subjects + thesis ) - third year

The reason i am saying i want not more than 2 years because my friend already finished her PhD from American University Of London in 2 years ( thesis only ) but the problem this university not accrideted any more in Kuwait.

Which university is it that faces an accreditation crisis? You say that you are in the third year of a coursework plus thesis doctorate. I'm guessing that you've finished classes and are now working on your dissertation. That being the case, one possible short-cut, given that doctoral programs generally don't take much coursework in transfer (at least not in the US), would be to get into a dissertation-only doctorate. What is your field of studies?

The other possibility might be to hurry up and finish your degree before your school loses accreditation (and who knows?, it might "pull through" the crisis and keep its accreditation) and then, if your uni loses accreditation and closes down, explain on resumes and in interviews that you have what's called an "orphaned degree" (uni was good accredited school when you were in the program, lost accreditation/went out of existence after you graduated).

So, we need to find you a dissertation-only doctorate in human resources. Many on this board who are into dissertation-only doctorates choose South African doctorates because they are very inexpensive.

Cape Peninsula University of Technology offers the Doctor of Technology degree in Human Resource Management http://info.cput.ac.za/prospectus_3/qual_new.php?q=252&f=1. This degree, by dissertation only, can be done in a two-year minimum.

Hi. Welcome. What do you plan to do with the doctorate? How old are you? Why do you want to start over in another doctoral program, if the current program is still running?

The University of Leicester, Centre for Labour Market Studies offers the Ph.D. in HR, but expect it to take 6 years part-time. The DSoSci takes about 4.

I'm not surprised kuwait does not recognize this university - this is not a UK university as it is not listed on this site http://www.qaa.ac.uk/reviews/reports/instIndex.asp

You can see the building at American University of London using Google Maps UK (Street View). It is a two story building with shops on the ground floor. You see the university's name on the building.

Beware of bogus universities per this UK govt warning http://www.dcsf.gov.uk/recognisedukdegrees/index.cfm?fuseaction=content.view&CategoryID=7

    Reham,

Are you currently attending a university IN Bahrain or are you doing your doctorate through distance means?

If you are at a Bahrain institution, I can give you some insight into the viability of that institution in terms of the new gov't regulations -- through my work I have information and insight into that.

Feel free to PM me with that information if you'd prefer not to put it out in public.

    Cheers,
    Adrienne
