Oh, it's not like they have anything better to do than try to create some sort of false moral equivalence between Biden with a possibly slick son and insurrectionist, twice impeached, and criminally indicted Donald Trump.

Yeah, right guys. Want a list of useful things to do? No?

Anyway, I'd be surprised if the New York GOP House delegation would support any actual articles. A goodly handful have already said so, more or less.

    We're paying for this.

I've been toying with what might happen if DJT gets sentenced to, say, ten years in one or another State Penitentiary then wins the General Election. It seems to me that this would be a splendid, if unusual, example of the President-elect being unable to "discharge the powers and duties of said office" so that throughout his entire term the Vice President would be in charge.

    Tee hee.

And Trump would control ALL the puppets from his cell - or a bed in the prison infirmary. Remember his comment "could have been someone in a bed somewhere," when denying the possibility of Russian interference in the 2016 election?

This time, it could be true. By Trump, from a bed. Organized Crime figures have run gangs from prison cells. They have ordered killings from prison cells. Degree Mill operators have established new "Universities" while in jail, e.g. James Kirk a.k.a. McPherson. All with outside help, of course. And no doubt Trump would have plenty of that. And the Evil he represents will not stop when he dies. Evil will be done by his minions - in his memory.

Many Impeachments of former president triggered revenge, it's driven by bumerang tactics. Pay back theology,.
It appeared that 2016 to 2020 Dems only occupation was with attacking and impeachment Pr. Trump.
It was expected a retaliation will come.

There has never been a revenge Presidential impeachment in the history of this country. Both McConnel and McCarthy stated that Donald Trump caused the insurrection on January 6. McConnel stated that he thought that Donald Trump should be charged by the DOJ instead of convicted in the Senate, since he was no longer in office. So don't know how you can argue it was purely the Dems attacking Trump. Seven Republican Senators voted for conviction.

Have they gotten around to saying what he is being investigated for?

Not really, it keeps changing. The only consistency I've heard is that they are doing Trump's bidding and impeaching Biden to allow Trump to better nullify any impeachment smears levied against Trump.

I think this is bigger than individuals, whom ever it be not important. It's a must retaliation, driven by rivalry between two major parties. Punch, and punch back. The timing is elections year 2024.

Trump was impeached twice. The first time was political theatre, and arguably revenge. The second, though, was for cause.

How was it political theater? The crook was clearly extorting Zelensky.

Now, now...we must make allowances for the Ethically Challenged in our world...I for one will pledge $10/month to his prison canteen fund.

I wonder if Napoleon's old cell on St. Helena is still available?

Not to worry, Johann. Having the nearest McDonalds 2,000 miles away will be torment enough.

Don't dismiss St. Helena so quickly. Napoleon was likely killed by arsenic poisoning from the wallpaper emitting vapors in a subtropical environment.

I don't know how that was theater. Trump illegally withheld funds appropriated by Congress for Ukraine to put pressure on them to announce an "investigation" into Joe Biden. I guess one could conclude that it didn't rise to the level of an "impeachable offense." But it was illegal and he did it.

Cool! Gives me some ideas... :) Anyone here happen to know if cyanide will bond to wallpaper? It's much quicker. Polonium, maybe? Novichok? Ricin? Lovely article here: "Alphabet of Poisons." https://lesannberry.com/2013/01/10/an-alphabet-of-poisons/
