Hi all, Just wanted to let everyone on the board know that I will be a peer reviewer with the Higher Learning Commission. My training is in late October.
To use the discussion board to full impact, and to save me the trouble of googling, what will the duties entail? Peer review is pretty obvious but how frequently, how many are there, things like that?
Peer review of an institution can be in a variety of forms: 1. Site visit of another institution, with prep and follow-up 2. Electronic reviews and evaluations of programs 3. Writing accreditation reports 4. Having a working knowledge of accreditation criteria
So it looks like the HLC has no problem with someone who earned their doctorate online. This is good news. I'm sure your accomplishments and other credentials weighed heavily on their decision too.
