You are aware that the regional accreditors evaluate vocational programs and high schools as well?

So as long as SACS accredits vo-tec schools you think they aren't meeeting the standard?

Now, I'm not saying SACS and DETC are equal but the reason isn't this...

DETC also accredits stuff like Hypnosis, Iridology, NLP- NeuroLinguistic Programming. Schools for suckers.

DeVry is RA and they are a "training" school (at least when I went). Very hands on and only had technical classes.

Personally, I like AMU very much. I think it would be an excellent choice. AMU has some really interesting undergrad & grad programs...and they are reasonably priced.

If you're thinking about teaching, however, don't rule out a doctorate. Why not NCU's DBA or PhD in CJ?

    Just my .02 cents.

Today, Devry calls itself a "university". Each campus offers a full range of non-technical classes necessary to meet TAC/ABET requirements. The shortest programs are normally AA/AS.

When I was in school (1986) in NJ, they offered a 20-month certificate and BS degrees.
