I scored high enough for every enlisted MOS too (I'm sure just about everyone who frequents this discussion board and served, probably scored fairly high on the asvab). I didn't know about enlistment bonuses ($2500 would have been nice! :D)..

    Rich,

When I first went to the recruiter in 1995, you needed a GED to get in Corps, Army, or Navy. Airforce required a high school diploma (I believe). Of course, everything can be waivered and I remember a couple recruits being high school drop outs. So, I agree with you, Airforce does have higher entrace requirements. As for ASVAB scores? I think to become 0311 (probably lowest ASVAB requirement), you needed a 40 or 50. It all depends on the MOS really.. But or minimum may have been lower that AF.

Despite differences in the branches we served, it is veteran's day and you zoomies and dogfaces are OK in my book! :D :D

...alright! Even the frikken squids are ok... :D

    Later guys,

    Bill

It's like family. WE can bash each other, but if anyone else tries it....BAM! One unified force. (Yes, even the swabbies....;) )

I had to ask: what about the Coast Guard?

Coast Guard = Shallow water sailors

Do you know why you have to be at least 6 feet tall to be in the Coast Guard? So when the boat sinks, you can walk ashore. :D
