    Yes - because the book is full of proofs - everything Euclid said, Euclid proved. Hippocrates didn't appear to concern himself as much with proof. I hated Euclidean Geometry in High School. I barely squeaked through it. But I liked Greek Club - extra-curricular Greek lessons.

    And hey - if you know Euclid (and a bit of Trig, maybe) you can build a roof. You can't learn that from Hippocrates. :)

    Although I'm still working on my 25 books for the year, since I'm running a little ahead I decided to spend some of my reading time on the Great Books. After looking closely I realized the 10 year reading plan is actually not comprehensive. So although I've read several selections from year 1 of that plan, I've decided to try reading straight through instead. With that, today I've begun reading Homer's Iliad, part of book 4.
