Goddard College, established in 1938 and a pioneer of progressive education at the bachelor's and master's levels first on campus and then by low-residency distance, is closing completely in May. This supersedes the plan the college had announced in January to close its campus facilities but continue academic programs online-only. Its students will be taught out by Prescott College and potentially others.
