It's my mistake, see. I thought above you found the time to "refute" Andy before I here said anything. I didn't realize your attempted refutation was not fair game!

Many here work, raise families and study too. I've been there and done that.

Let's see, shall I list my own health concerns , or the bi polar 28 year old son I still raise , or the other son, an alcoholic with uncontrollable anger I also had here before the cops took him off two night ago ( cops have been here four times last two months) for vicious threats against his mom and me? These are a few of my distractions , Bob. This is why my studies are my peaceful friend and I steal away to them. And you know Bob, though I've paid into "Social Security" (ha!!!) since '56 I STILL have to work to get by! So big deal, you work and raise a family, so have little time!! I also have little time to waste and I agree my discussion with you is a waste and goes no where! But why is it a waste of time???

What good rhetoric you have: win the day by character assassination. Did LIFE teach you that good rhetoric?? Your contest is not with the truth, is your point , but against your opponant's great pride. How can you be expected to fire all of your sharp insights against my impenatrable fortress of EGO? We'll just assume you are right, Bob. It wasn't fair to you because I have an ego ...but you don't!

And your other is good rhetoric too: a contrast, You are the poor working man carrying the cross of studying while raising a family too. Much sympathy. I, on the otherhand, who entered this thread to discuss the possibility that schooling/learning as well can be for pleasure not just for money and that writing/thinking can be taught in school not just learned by life, have tons of time to waste on such vain folly as this, further mean old Bill has a worthless goal...I am ONLY here to have my ego fed.
