There are people who sometimes seem to want to sit back and let others do all their homework for them. It's as true on this board as it is in life. I get especially annoyed when people start adding criteria. "Oh but those schools won't work because they don't have a bowling team." or whatever, something that had never previously mentioned. I find myself muttering something about ". . . don't waste my time . . ." Some of us hold a lot of this information in our heads and it's an easy task to go fetch a link here or there and I don't mind doing that. I don't track costs because they change and so if someone asks for the lowest cost program they will likely get a short list of programs along with a suggestion that they check the costs themselves. A little gratitude goes a long way with me and a little rudeness will stop me in my tracks. I typically suggest that you ignore people if they are rude or ungrateful. At the same time I know this is a little hypocritical of me because I might just as easily blast someone at the slightest provocation. Oh well. Have a nice day.

    Smart aleks

This forum grows with jerks and idiots that get their rocks off making stupid, sarcastic replies to genuine
questions. If you don't have an answer, you should keep your dumb comments to yourself. God bless the fact that this website is not a necessity in my life. Amen.

Aren’t you the same person who came here professing your love for GOD in (uppercase)? Just in case there is an afterlife, which I do not believe, but just in case, I am asking your GOD for a transfer if I am in the same place with you. So, GOD, just in case, please keep note of my request - no sharing of paradise with anngriffin777 send me to that other place.

I've been on worse. And not for being bad. It's funny how that works.

That didn't start until you were openly dismissive of the genuine answers you were given to your genuine question. Take the beam out of your own eye before you complain about the speck in ours.

I had a boss like that once -- she was part of the reason I retired as soon as I possibly could, 24 years ago. She didn't accuse herself of hypocrisy, though (and Kizmet, you're anything but). With her, it was COMPANY POLICY!

Continuing on a lighter note -- Breyer State again. I've known of two grads who got better-than-you'd expect results with their Breyer State degrees. One lived in France and said he got a very good official evaluation of his Breyer degree - a maîtrise, IIRC . The authorities saw "State" and figured "aha, a State University" which means a LOT in France. More than it does in the US under any circumstances.

The other guy was a successful South African businessman, who piled a Breyer DBA onto his legit SA MBA. He said it did wonders for his dating life - it went from great to spectacular. "Women know it's not Harvard, but it doesn't matter," he told me. He also managed to find a part-time teaching job he felt had prestige. He wasn't looking for the money - he was successful in business before all this. Quite a gifted guy.

Here's the problem, Ann Griffin 77. You got several very reasonable suggestions. You could have thanked people for them. But you didn't. However, you did find time to be a bit rude in dismissing Cumberland (you obviously didn't care that some people who read this forum matriculate there). So someone comes back at you in kind and takes a little jab at you, nothing fierce or flaming, and immediately you called people "jerks", "idiots" and "stupid".

If you really do love the Lord, as you apparently claim, remember these:

    Don't be easily provoked. I Cor 13:5
Treat everyone else the way you'd want to be treated. Matt 7:12
