DL without computers

    Alas, if only there had been distance learning before computers, they'd have had something to go on. ;)

    In the 80's I took DL correspondence classes in schools such as Open University without computers. All books and assignments were by correspondence.

    I've been doing the correspondence thing on-and-off from the 80s till now. I took work-related stuff, like the Credit Institute - and everything from computer programming to photography and languages (they sent books and CDs - tapes in the old days) . I like it. I wish more schools still offered it.

    Heriot Watt had quality and success before they went on-line.
