    On a more serious note, I would think that someone who has been Director of Distance Learning at three (?) different universities for the last however many years qualifies.

    Well, I was formerly Coordinator of Educational Technology at two, one of which I had direct overseership of distance learning. Since 2008, I've been the Academic Dean over distance learning at a university with about 1,000 students in fully online programs and an additional 3,000 taking online courses. Instructional technology has been my field for 25 years and distance learning for nearly 20. I am still having an absolute blast, even though I'm old.
