I did my MBA with CSU. They also make it easy to get a 10% discount via various learning partners. It’s been several years, but I joined one of the non-profits for some small amount and received the discount for my entire program. That would bring the per credit fee down to $391.50.

    Hi Vicki,
It has been a few years, so I honestly don't recall why I picked this organization. I joined the National Volunteer Fire Council (nvfc.org). Membership did not have requirements of being within the industry, though at the time, I did work in healthcare. The cost is $21/year. The complete list of partners can be found here; https://www.columbiasouthern.edu/tuition-financing/partnerships/learning-partners/directory

Huge discount to active duty personnel. No general discount to veterans or retirees, though.

I think some of these associations, societies, and perhaps even credit unions are open to the public. I went through my old email, and it seems that this was suggested by CSU themselves when I applied in 2013. They suggested my employer become a partner, I join the National Sherrif's Association, or I join the National Volunteer Fire Council.

I think it's notable that a purchased membership in some organization qualifies one for a discount, but being a military veteran or retiree does not.

Couldn't find the time even with the self paced program. I work too much and I already have a Master's. It was a good value with transfer credits but extra time is the one thing I dont have.
