His profile paints him as very successful in the business world. I wonder if he thought there might be an issue with having completed his entire educational spectrum at one institution. His M.S. from Walden might have even come after spending 10 years at Lynn.

    BPPE approval

Moreover if I look at since it's approved by BPPE it does not seem to be a degree mill.Wiki talks about BPPE here:

Actually it would be necessary to start a new topic because with as far as I understand TRACs accreditation means state accredited. So the title of this topic is no longer fitting in 2023.
I believe the Doctor of Management is the cheapest Business Doctorate from the USA, available in English on Gururo for:

    INR 8,0,000

I assume that's Indian Rupees. The tuition alone is $15,750 for the DM program. That would be approximately 1,295,862.21 INR at today's exchange rate. Also, there are various fees that would raise that total quite a bit higher.

Also, the Doctor of Management is NOT a "business doctorate." The school makes that distinction clear in its description of the program, comparing it to the DBA they also offer:

Like the Doctor of Business Administration (DBA), the Doctor of Management (DM) is a professional doctorate degree. However, instead of a focus on business administration and quantitative subject areas, the focus of the DM is on management.

The DBA is 60 credits long and, thus, that much more expensive. There is nothing particularly remarkable about the tuition being charged by this TRACS-accredited school.

Note also that the program adheres to the Christian faith and includes that perspective in its program's objectives.

    Or, perhaps I'm wrong.

@Johann766 Sign me up! If you can get the entire program from IAULA for exactly $80K Indian Rupees, I think it's just a 'program fee' or application fee for $80K Indian Rupees. Amazing if someone can get it for that cheap! Here's a previous post of mine in regards to that program: Doctor of Management (DM) - 42 Credits/TRACS - about $16K USD | DegreeInfo

$80K Indian rupees is $972 US Dollars. Ridiculous to assume you can get a doctorate - or ANY degree with recognized US accreditation for that. If someone wrote such an ad, they must have been smoking REALLY powerful stuff.

Not even in a Cheech and Chong movie could this happen. Must be a different school or a 25-year old ad -or both. Reference please.... the only Gururo sites I can find are anime - Japanese comics, not Indian schoolmeisters.

Oh, right - Gururo. I was looking at Gururu. Found the site, Not impressed. Plus, they seem to deal with residential programs not distance. Found this program - couldn't find the cost.

Tried to find the IAU site - couldn't. Found this info on another secondary site. I'm guessing that this is advertised to Indians who want to study in US. They show 3 management courses. No details. I'm guessing the highest priced one is the doctorate -that's $5800. Still too low to be serious, for us.

Found the site. https://iaula.edu/make-payment/ Doctoral fees are $375 a credit that's 22,500 for 60 credits. So long IAULA. Hint: ALWAYS check quotes by secondary offshore crackpots. And primary crackpots too. Go to the source. Thanks for the half-hour of jazz I missed chasing this stuff.

I'm thinking of going to another degree-forum as a refugee and asking for asylum. :(

Ran out of time. That should be $15,750 for 42 credits. Exactly as quoted by Asian-Stew. Great big circle... @Johann766 If there IS a free lunch, you know you're in a Mob-run casino.

A TRACS-accredited school is in second place behind UCLA? All I can say is: If that's so, TRACS must be doing their thing really right and so must IAU. Amazing. And those guys overseas, advertising IAU's $16K doctorates for under $1K - they should really quit whatever they're smoking. Very, very bad mojo for them.

What is the ranking for? Because I’d put Stanford, UC Berkeley, etc. ahead of IAU.

What is it for? See last para. What org. did the ranking? No idea. The writer, Lisa Baker, starts the 2nd para. with "After thorough research..." We're not told by whom. For all I know, this might be a puff piece commissioned by the um... "winner(s)." Not saying it is - not saying it isn't. Colour me suspicious, though.

If it looks like an ad. reads like an ad. etc. ....

The article states what factors were taken into account for the ranking:

"In order to be considered one of the top three management schools in California, a university must demonstrate exceptional resourcefulness and innovation in both educational and social activities. These institutions also provide current, industry-relevant knowledge and strong job placement opportunities for their students. In addition to these factors, the ranking takes into account alumni support, fees and financing, specialization and exchange programs, rankings in other areas, infrastructure, first-year student retention rates, and expert opinions."

    "Yada yada yada..." J.

Fact is, I wouldn't be at all surprised if that Ranking was uh ... "compiled" by a single "researcher" - a familiar one with the initials "AI."

Went and found the article and here are the “rankings”:

    1. UCLA Anderson School of Management
    2. IAU Graduate School of Management
    3. UCSD Rady School of Management
    4. University of San Francisco School of Management
    5. California Lutheran University School of Management
    6. Claremont Graduate University Drucker School of Management
    7. Notre Dame de Namur University School of Business and Management
    8. AIU California School of Management and Leadership
    9. DeVry University Keller Graduate School of Management
    10. California Southern University School of Business and Management

    From the article itself:

“In order to be considered one of the top three management schools in California, a university must demonstrate exceptional resourcefulness and innovation in both educational and social activities. These institutions also provide current, industry-relevant knowledge and strong job placement opportunities for their students. In addition to these factors, the ranking takes into account alumni support, fees and financing, specialization and exchange programs, rankings in other areas, infrastructure, first-year student retention rates, and expert opinions.”

    My own opinion:

Based on the “Top 10” it appears they need to have the word “management” in their school name, which is insanity. Completely overlooked program like Stanford GSB, UC Berkeley Haas, USC Marshall, and others. Other than UCLA Anderson and UCSD Rady, none of those schools hold a candle to other California schools in regards to innovation, resourcefulness, infrastructure, expert opinions, etc. The only thing they’d like beat them on is price point and that is an assumption without going an looking up their tuition rates.

Indeed. Looks like somebody probably wrote the prompts for the AI to include that word in its search.
